Wonderful in dark blue!
In 1962, in Genoa, the well-known industrialist Mr. C. bought a car, which at that time was one of the most expensive and exclusive vehicles that could be purchased. A Lancia Flaminia Coupé.
The car was designed by Battista Farina himself and was one of his personal favorites and was driven by him until his death in 1966. The Coupé, was for the time, both technically, as well as design trend-setting and cost alone four times as much as a Karmann Ghia and was therefore very exclusive. The vehicle belongs to the first series which was built from 1959-1963. Originally the car was delivered with the, at that time, most powerful engine, with 128 hp. From 1964 there was a second series, which was however simplified in many details, in order to be able to produce the vehicle more economically. The only advantage, however, was that from now on there was an engine with 2.8 l and it had 140 hp.
Mr. C. was now in the dilemma that he wanted to have the strong engine, but did not want to change to the new model - which had not been produced so sophisticated in many parts. So, to solve the problem, he had the 2.8 l engine installed in his coupe, although the costs were so high that he could have bought a new car.
It was not until 2011 that the family parted with the vehicle and the car moved to a collector in Bavaria. The car is now in third hand and is to be sold due to a collection downsizing. The Lancia has recently undergone extensive technical maintenance and has also received a new interior. The history is widely traceable and the original Italian libretto is also still present. The car drives beautifully and no further work is pending. If desired, the car can be delivered with a fresh Tüv.
An unbelievable classic automobile, which one must have seen and above all, driven. We look forward to your visit.
