This air-conditioned 914 convertible is new in our stock and was newly bought by its first holder, born in 1933. It was registered in Brühl near Cologne. In April of 1989 the vehicle was transferred to his son, born in 1961, who held on to the 914 up until the year 2008. In August 2008, a doctor from Southern Germany assumed responsibility for the vehicle, and aside from replacing several wear and tear elements, he authorized a completely new paint job. Additionally, an electric petrol pump was built in and the old carburettors were upgraded to a Weber 40 IDF one. The last oil change took place in May 2019 at the Porsche center in Bad Homburg/Oberursel, and the four keys as well as the original user manual (in German language) are still on hand.
The 914 remains quite a robust vehicle, and even decades after its first market release it remains a timeless and dependable model. The car sounds fantastic and stays on the road with incredibly exact precision. The two litre engine rotates happily in every area and starts up immediately. Interior features include leather seats, a Blaupunkt original radio, the targa roof and the Fuchs wheel rims. The roofpart can simply be removed and stored under the lid of the rear trunk. Nevertheless, the vehicle sports enough space for luggage in the second front trunk. All in all, the 914/2.0 guarantees a pure, joyful driving experience and low maintenance costs.
