A total of 443,466 examples of the vehicle were built in the production period from 1955 to 1974, of which only around 80,881 convertibles were produced. Technically, the Type 14 was largely based on the extremely successful and popular VW Beetle. The Type 14 is always equipped with a 4-cylinder boxer engine and has a displacement of between 1,192 and 1,584 cm3, depending on the variant. Depending on the year of manufacture and the equipment, the car produced between 30 and 54 hp. The top speed of the Type 14 with a displacement of 1,584 cm3 liters is 140 km/h. The Type 14 is still very popular today and has many enthusiasts, and spare parts are available in sufficient numbers.

This convertible was imported to Germany from Canada in 2021. The vehicle was last owned in Canada for around 15 years and was gradually restored during this time. According to the current owner from Germany, this last owner from Canada was a wholesaler for vehicle windows and collector of some cars. The car has German papers, current MOT and there is the possibility of having an expert report drawn up.
