The convertible was originally delivered to Mr. T. in Washington State. There it remained in the family until 2021 and was partially restored. For example, the engine was overhauled, the car was repainted in its original color and the drop top was replaced.

In 2021, the German Beetle enthusiast Mr. W. finally acquired the beautiful vehicle and organized customs clearance and importation into Germany. In 2022 the car was registered for the first time in Germany after the lights were renewed and a TÜV certificate was issued. In the course of registration, the underbody and the engine compartment were ice-blasted and newly preserved. Additionally all tires were renewed.

The Beetle presents itself with very good paint as well as well maintained mechanics, it starts up without problems and shows neither technical nor optical complaints.
