The model year 2000 of the 996 GT3 was specifically delivered only in Germany and the vehicles (like this one) later also reached foreign countries via detours. Our 996 GT3 MkI was delivered at the beginning of the year 2000 by the Porsche Center Munich. By means of a blank letter the vehicle was registered in Germany and only in the middle of the year 2000, at a significantly higher price, sold to Japan and also registered for the first time. The vehicle is in great condition and the maintenance booklet was always kept. The car is not repaint free and has been treated in some areas by smart repair. The first Porsche GT3 appeared in May 1999 as the successor to the Porsche 911 Carrera RS. It was the first Porsche 911 equipped with a naturally aspirated water-cooled engine. The GT3 is equipped with a six-cylinder type M96/76, which is based on the crankcase from the air-cooled Porsche type 964 and whose origins can be traced back to the Porsche 962 and 911 GT1 racing sports cars. Because the engine is also built to motorsport standards thanks to its racing use, it has dry sump lubrication with a separate oil tank. The power is brought to the road by means of the GT2's drivetrain, and the performance of this long-underrated model proves it: 0-100 km/h in 4.8s. The top speed settles at 308 km/h.
