Restored condition!
Mid-engine, folding headlights, a Targa roof. There were more of these in the seventies. But as a four-seater? There was only one, the 530 from Matra. In March 1967, the Matra 530 was presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show. The engineers had designed the car with a central engine that was ideal for road handling. The space of the 2 additional seats in the rear limited the choice of engine, which had to be as short as possible. The decision was made to use the 1.7 liter V4 engine from the Ford Taunus 17 M, which was combined with the four-speed manual gearbox from the Ford 15 M. The chassis made of welded sheet steel was completed with bolted-on body elements made of synthetic resin and fiberglass. The M530 also had folding headlights with optical warning system and a removable targa roof with roll bar. A rare vehicle with a sports car-like design and character traits. This red Matra 530 LX comes with a USB stick on which the restoration was documented with pictures. We also have some original vehicle documents for the vehicle, including a parts catalog, operating instructions and information material.
