Arden full conversion in very good condition
The vehicle originally comes from England, where it was registered by the first owner. The Jaguar was registered in Germany in February 1997 and was deregistered in Gütersloh in 1999. The current owner bought the XJS in 2015 and registered it in the same year. According to the previous owner, the car was parked in the garage for about 10 years between 1999 and 2015 and was rarely driven with red number plates. At the time of purchase from the last owner, no accident damage was found. The paint or clear coat was cracked in some places. In general, the paintwork was very unkempt and there were several spots where the car had been amateurishly repainted with clear varnish, very unclean and unprofessional. It was obvious that a marten must have been at work in the "V" of the engine. (TDC sensor defective, distributor cable set ignition coil defective). The tyres were damaged, but the car ran smoothly during the test drive. The Jaguar started poorly at the time due to a defective start control unit. Later, during the restoration, all the faults and defects were repaired with a great deal of effort and expense.
The current owner decided to restore the car and complete the Arden conversion in the same process. From October 2015 until the summer of 2017, the XJS V12 was gradually rebuilt. The period and all costs are well documented and listed. The entire conversion was documented in detail with pictures, so every step is easy to follow. The car was completely disassembled, repainted in the original red colour and the partly very "cheap and unpleasant" interior was replaced by a red and white leather interior. The dashboard and the headliner have also been reupholstered. A detailed list of the types of add-on parts is of course enclosed with the documentation.
The XJS has always been very underestimated, but it will become more and more interesting in the future, not only as a youngtimer, and will always have its lovers and fans. Due to the Arden conversion we have here almost a unique specimen, which will probably not exist a second time. This XJS is being sold for a regular customer who always attaches great importance to the completeness of the documents and the history. We also have all the documents, records, invoices and photos of the restoration for this vehicle.
