Perfectly restored rarity!
The Glas company was founded in Pilsting in 1883 and initially built mainly agricultural machinery. As the demand for inexpensive means of transportation grew in the 50s, they began to offer competition to the Italian Vespa. From 1951 to 1956, the Glas company built motor scooters, which were also known as "Goggo scooters". This created the economic basis for automobile production. Since then, several vehicle models were built, which also included the name "Goggo-Mobil".
GT models were presented for the first time at the IAA in 1963. Over the years the engines became more and more voluminous, until in 1965 the Glas 3000 V8 was presented. The design was by Pietro Frua, which is why this model was nicknamed "Glaserati" among fans. Through the takeover of BMW in 1966, the cars have hardly changed. Not only the BMW logo trumps since then on the bodies of the vehicles, technology and engines also come since the takeover from the Bavarian engine plants. The Glas Automobile Club International, founded in 1975, looks after all existing Glas vehicles and their owners worldwide with information, spare parts, a club magazine and an Internet portal. This Glas 3000 V8 also comes from this club and is in fully restored condition.
Timeless elegance in a rare piece of contemporary history! Only 418 cars were built between 1967 and 1968. Seize the chance to drive a part of German automotive history.
