restored condition!
Four years before the car came onto the market, BMW was still building baroque angels. And six years before that, the Isetta. The BMW E3 was a real sensation when it was presented in 1968. The luxury class model offered good driving characteristics and a modern and characteristic design that would continue to characterize the 7 Series decades later. The 3-liter in-line six-cylinder engine also impressed with its very smooth running and, for those times, very strong performance.
This E3 sedan with the 3.0 liter 6 cylinder is the Si version with 200 hp and manual transmission. The BMW has only run 67,000 km to date and was extensively overhauled in 2003 and 2007. According to the enclosed invoices, over €10,000 was invested in the E9 in 2003 alone. Among other things, there was a new 5-speed gearbox, various parts of the wheel suspension and small parts. In 2007, the work continued and the entire mechanical system was overhauled. The engine was completely rebuilt and overhauled. The interior was also completely overhauled. All work was carried out in Munich by the company Procar Sondermotorenbau. All invoices and certificates are included with the vehicle.
The top-of-the-range BMW model from 1975 stands up to the rather staid S-Class in comparison and shows fans of the 7 Series where the upper-class BMW saloons originated. An ideal touring car for the whole family.
